Ideal vacation: My life feels like a vacation. You know that saying, “Love what you do, and you’ll never work a day in your life!”
Q. What's a typical day at work for you?
A. I am a problem-solver. I come up with solutions to people’s technology blockers, and I integrate new initiatives and de-bug as we try to move the business forward. I also bridge the gap between IT and e-commerce, and work with many departments to support collaboration across the company.
Q. How has your role evolved since starting at Ardene?
A. When I first started working at Ardene, I supported digital marketing initiatives like newsletters and Google ads. Over time, I have been able to grow into a key support role as we roll out industry leading technologies and grow our omnichannel business. Today, I integrate new initiatives into our tech stack and support our ongoing sites (ardene.com and ardenecorporate.com) and our app. I’m excited to see what the future holds!
Q. What's your favorite part of working at Ardene?
A. My favorite part of working at Ardene is being able to work with a wide variety of individuals from all different backgrounds and skill sets. I truly enjoy being able to collaborate with people and enhance the roles of my teammates as we strive for success.
Q. What accomplishment are you most proud of?
A. There isn’t one particular accomplishment that stands out above the rest. I truly love what I do, and my role is so varied that I rarely do the same thing twice. Every day the e-commerce space brings a new challenge, and I'm truly grateful that I can adapt and thrive under the circumstances. I am proud that I always keep a flexible mindset and look for resources in all forms.
Q. What advice would give to someone starting a career in your field?
A. I think the best advice would be to continue learning and evolving your knowledge base and skill sets throughout your career. Keep the same hunger for new information in your tenth year in the industry as you had in your first, because it will serve you well. We live in a world (and field) that doesn't stop, so we can't either.
Q. What is your favorite Ardene memory?
A. Watching the Ardene leadership team go in the dunk-tank at our annual summer BBQ. It set an example of humility, humor, and courage – it’s important to not take ourselves so seriously all the time!
Q. Do you have a mentor or someone you look up to at work?
A. I try to learn from everybody because everybody has knowledge they can impart.
