Clean Water for Everyone

In honour of World Water Day (March 22), the Ardene Foundation joined forces with Plan International to help them in achieving their annual goal.

Plan International is a global movement for change, mobilizing millions of people around the world to support social justice for children in developing countries. They aim to achieve lasting improvements in the quality of life of children, families and communities in developing countries

Water is a basic need and a basic right, but access to it isn’t a given for everyone. Not only does the burden of finding safe drinking water usually fall on girls who must travel long distances every day, but more than 1.5 million children die from waterborne illnesses every year.

Along with the support of Plan International and its partners, the Ardene Foundation contributed to a $29,000 donation that will help bring clean water and reduce thousands of preventable deaths in dozens of communities in the developing world.
