IN THIS TOGETHER: ARDENE DONATES TO FIGHT COVID-19
As the world continues in its valiant fight against COVID-19, one thing we are sure of is this: community is important. Community has always been one of our values here, and everyone in our organization does their part – in one way or another – to support the world around us. Now, more than ever before, we really need each other.
It’s for those reasons and more that the Ardene Foundation launched an incredible initiative at the end of March to donate comfortable footwear and socks to healthcare workers across Canada. These unbelievable people are on the front-lines putting their lives at risk to keep the rest of us safe. Not only are long shifts are exhausting for doctors, nurses, and support staff, but the need for safety is real too. Hospital staff are changing their footwear multiple times a day to keep the spread of the virus to a minimum – and that’s where Ardene has stepped in.
We have already donated almost 25,000 shoes and socks since March 24th, and are supporting over 6 provinces in over 75 hospitals so far.
