Let’s talk about sustainability. It’s kind of everywhere right now, but it’s not a bandwagon to jump on. It’s not a trend. This is forever. It’s our future. Since 1982 Ardene has been doing good: we’ve always donated the products we don’t sell, we’ve always had recycled and recyclable packing boxes and partnered with charitable organizations, but we knew we had to do more. We had to learn more. So, we started the Ardene Collective.
Social responsibility is all about doing what’s right for the community and for the planet, but where do you begin? For us, the Ardene Collective is a movement that we participate in together, including our buying & manufacturing processes, our social responsibility ambassadors, packaging, and our eco-conscious products. No, we’re not perfect, but we need to work collectively in the right direction because every step helps. This is a team effort, not a competition, so we are proud of the initiatives our fellow retail chains have taken and are inspired by them.
What we pledge to you is to be open about who we are and where we’re going, as a company and as fellow people. We’ll make mistakes, but that’s how we grow. We’re learning and improving every day, and we invite you to come on this journey with us. It’s never too late to do the right thing.
