Our Happy Honey Bees

There's no better time than World Honey Bee Day to announce that once again, our honey bees are thriving and producing honey well ahead of schedule! This is the second year that we have partnered with Miel MTL to install and maintain 2 beehives in our garden with over 10,000 bees in each, and they have already produced 30 pounds of honey! Fun fact: it takes 12 worker bees to produce a single teaspoon of honey, so we know our bees have been busy. We're happy to do our part and so excited that our bees are doing well because we recognize how essential they are to our planet. Getting to taste the delicious fruits of their labor doesn't hurt either.

Bottling Our First Organic Honeycomb

Since we have already extracted so much honey, this year we bottled honeycomb for the first batch. On Thursday, an expert from Miel MTL came to show us how to properly cut and bottle the raw honey and comb, and our head office team members had a great time rolling up their sleeves and getting to work. In total, we were able to fill 96 bottles with fresh honeycomb, which has become very popular for its rich, sweet taste and numerous health benefits. We are excited to offer our first ever organic honeycomb to our team members and can't wait for our next honey extraction before the season is over.
