POLICIES

Being responsible starts at the beginning of the value chain.

Corporate
  • Partnerships with supporting entities like the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, Climate Smart, Textile Exchange, and carbon offsets through Planetair.
  • As always, a zero incineration policy, meaning our overstock is either donated or liquidated.
  • Elimination of individual polybags for merchandise shipments.
  • Company-wide waste reduction and recycling program
  • Internal ban on single use plastic and styrofoam, like cutlery and cups

We continue to attain certifications and partnerships to support our teams as we go above and beyond in this ongoing journey.

Manufacturing

We maintain high standards when it comes to responsible partnerships with vendors, and regularly re-examine how we operate to ensure we’re on the right path.

We work with our partners both domestically and abroad, and require that they be in full compliance with our standards at all times.

Here are some of the ways we take a stance on workplace rights:

  • Vendors must agree to pay fair wages for all employees and other workers producing products for Ardene.
  • Vendors must agree to provide humane and safe working conditions for their employees and other workers.
  • Vendors must agree that they will not at any time use child labor, prison labor, or slave labor in connection with our products.
  • Workers should have equal access to jobs and training, on equal terms, regardless of their sex, race, color, political opinion, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, union membership, or social origin.
